Another of the infamous 321 artist. Ryan's work is large, bold, and in yo face type of style. He currently resides in NYC producing his one of a kind pieces of juxtaposed madness. His work could best be described as symbolic narrative with a definite influence from his Fort Myers, Florida roots. He also has a strong representation of nature and it's role with that of mankind. The rest is left up to interpretation, less you are lucky enough to get an explanation from the artist directly of what the work symbolizes and there is definitely meaning behind everything. The question is... What does it all mean?
This is the website of fellow artist, designer, and partner of mischief. His work can best be described as clean, edgy, and with a strong influence to his New York roots, a native to the Bronx. At least that's how I see it. I am also honored to call him friend and co-conspirator to keeping the art world on their toes along with the occasional bartender as well.
A fellow contemporary who I had the pleasure of knowing as we both developed as artist during are time in Savannah.I have seen his work develope into stunning works of photography through his portrayal of concept, color, and composition. He has come a long way and I have a feeling he has only begun to push his photographic creativity.
Fellow artist Adam Hathorn whose work I've always found both humorous and stylistically superb has remained true to his craft and his integrity as an artist. He is San Deigo Pacific Beach based and tattoes out of Guru Tattoo. On his site you find all that is illustrative and painterly, but be for warned his site is not for the faint of heart or weak of will. His work pushes boundries of what is taboo all the while catering to a sinfully delicoius sense of humor. There will be no Charlie Browns or Snoopy's in his work unless Snoopy has rambies and is being gorged by a syphillitic Charley, but I leave that sort of thinking up to those that do it best and I believe fellow colleague Adam Hathorn to be at the top of his game.
Photographer, Artist, and Friend. Simply put her work is super awesome. As for a formal analysis, I'd have to say that it is a photographic narrative with high concept and elegantly designed composition. She uses color, balance and form to help push the narrative into the realm of universal... Pretty cool stuff.
Friend and fellow artist, designer, and illustrator Evan Yarborough based in California pushes the edge with his illustration works clean, crisp, and with a satirical insight into the modern pop/commericialism of our consumer society. While his apparel is impressive and with a large collection of it there something for everyone.
Specializing in web design, graphic design, and various types of printmaking. A fellow artist within the inner circle of emerging artist to come out of the Savannah frame of mind. With an eye for detail and exceptional compositions I have always enjoyed his work and brings a unique brand of Fine Art graphic design to his arsenal of printmaking techniques. He also is the one that coined the phrasing of my style while living together the infamous "Post Modern Barbequeism".
This site contains prints of my larger mixed media paintings at a fraction of the price and a bit smaller in scale. Also, coming soon prints of my illustrations and linoleum block pieces.
This is a link that leads to a brief overview of my style from the nice people at Finer Works.com where prints of my work are available for purchase.
The prints are extremely less expensive than my originals and I have large and small scale works available.
This is a blog set up by me,The Urban Monk, to express my opinion on everything from politics, art, poetry, rants, and other items of personal interest. As I have no idea how this will unfold because I am not even sure what blogging is let the literary adventure begin.I might even throw in some pictures to mix it up.That is if I even know how to do such things.
This interview was done for my May opening at Central Ohio Art Academy and explains in length inspiration, techniques, background, and the movement known as Post Modern Barbecueism.
This is a collection of poetry and creative writing that I produced at my brief, but enjoyable time as a employee of fuel. This is the first written work I have published in my own art form of Post Modern Barbequeism. The book is purchasable through this link.
